Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in a Havre Bene stay?

Every stay is designed to help you rest, recover, and feel supported.
What you can expect:
– Private hotel-style accommodations
– Nourishing meals (based on your package)
– On-site newborn support (including overnight care options)
– A personalized care plan and access to expert consults (lactation, mental health, nutrition, etc.)
– Workshops and practical education to help you feel confident at home
If you’re not sure which option fits, you can contact us and we’ll help match a package to your needs.

How long should a typical stay be?

We require a minimum stay of 3 nights. Most families benefit from 3 to 5 nights for optimal rest and recovery, and longer stays may be possible based on your needs and availability.

When can I come for my stay?

Most families join us shortly after birth, but you’re welcome to book based on what feels right for your recovery (for example: immediately postpartum, or a little later once you’re home). If you’re unsure, reach out and we’ll help you choose timing that aligns with your birth plan and support needs.

Can my partner stay with me?

Yes—your partner or one support person is welcome to stay with you in your private room.
To keep the space calm and restorative for all families, we can’t accommodate additional guests or extended family.

Do you allow visitors?

To protect rest, privacy, and a peaceful environment, we keep visiting limited. If you have a special situation, contact us in advance and we’ll confirm what’s possible.

Is a payment plan available?

Yes. We offer flexible payment plans, and the full balance must be paid by the check-in date. Share what you need, and we’ll work with you to find an option that fits.

What is your deposit and payment policy?

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
The deposit is non-refundable.
The remaining balance is due upon check-in.

Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?

We understand birth plans can change. You can reschedule or make changes to your stay up to 72 hours before check-in (subject to availability).
The 50% deposit is non-refundable.
If you’re dealing with unexpected medical circumstances, please reach out—we’ll review your situation with care.

Are these services reimbursed by insurance?

Our services are not covered by RAMQ, but many may be eligible for partial reimbursement through private insurance plans.
We can provide itemized documentation to support your claim.

Do you accommodate cultural preferences or special needs?

Yes. We aim to create an inclusive, respectful space where all families feel safe and seen.
Share your cultural practices, accessibility needs, and preferences in advance, and we’ll do our best to honor them.

What makes Havre Bene different from the hospital or hiring help at home?

Havre Bene combines clinical expertise with a warm, hotel-based environment built for recovery.
Key differences:
– A private, restorative space designed for rest
– Coordinated support under one roof (rather than managing multiple appointments)
– On-site newborn support so you can truly sleep and recover
